In June of 2007 we upgraded from the 14' to the brand new 16' 10.5" XL Series boats. So new in fact that, according to the serial numbers, we received the second and third boats of this style to be produced. Over the course of the 2007 fishing season, some minor defects in the production of the boats began to appear as paint began peeling from the seams and molded storage compartments. Early in 2008 we contacted Hyde Outdoors to arrange for repairs to be scheduled. Much to our surprise, LaMoyne Hyde simply said, "We'll replace the boats with brand new ones."
